ESR14 Fernando Ruiz Molina 


Fernando Ruiz Molina is a PhD Candidate at School of Law, Criminology and Government at the University of Plymouth and his current research focuses on Critical Analysis on Hate Perpetration against Roma. At the base, Ruiz Molina is a Human Rights lawyer with nine years of experience in the field of social activism and Roma associationism. Although Ruiz Molina has worked in different fields (Housing Law, International Law, Gender-based violence), in the recent years, he has dedicated considerable time on the defense of Human Rights and the endowment of political status to the “Roma cause”. Furthermore, Ruiz Molina has also worked within international Roma framework as part of his position as Junior Expert on Roma and Sinti Issues at OSCE-ODIHR. His LLM master’s thesis undertaken at the Central European University, deals with the segregationist models of education for Roma in Europe, applied to the Spanish context. 

Besides that, Ruiz Molina holds a Degree in Law and a Master´s in Law at the University of Murcia, Spain, as well as the Roma Graduate Preparation Program at CEU. 

Finally, he is very happy to start his membership within the NETHATE Consortium, hoping to contribute to enlarge the knowledge on hate against Roma.
